The wheel alignment can help your tires perform properly and help them last longer. It can also improve handling and keep your vehicle from pulling in one direction or vibrating strangely on the road.

Wheel alignment verification is recommended by all car manufacturers in their regular car maintenance guide every 20000 km and after any suspension or steering parts replacement

If your car:

Have uneven tire wear
Is pulling to the left or right
Steering wheel is off center when driving straight

You should have your alignment checked at Alignement Garbis immediately with their latest technology equipment.

Corner balancing, sometimes referred to as “corner weighting,” “weight jacking,” or “scaling,” involves adjusting the spring perches of a car to get a balanced diagonal weight on the tires.

Ideally the car should have 50% of its weight on the Left Front and Right Rear tires, and 50% on the Right Front and Left Rear.

If your car’s diagonal corner weights are not equal then its handling will be unbalanced–it will turn better in one direction than in the other (all other things being equal). If your car has coil over adjustable shocks you should consider renting/borrowing/buying some scales and corner balancing your car.

It’s a lot of work but in the end it’s worth it. Keep in mind the stiffer your springs the more important corner balancing becomes.

At 100 kilometers per hour, an average size tire rotates 850 times per minute. At this speed, slight variations in balance, sidewall stiffness or roundness can cause the wheel to literally slam into the pavement 14 times a second. The ultra-sensitive road feel of today’s vehicles gives drivers a hands-on detection of vibration, a warning of potential problems.

Unchecked, excessive wheel vibration can result in expensive damages and unsafe driving conditions such as:

Excessive Tire Wear
Damage to Suspension and Steering Components
Unsafe Steering and Handling

Our technicians at Alignement Garbis have the proper knowledge, training and equipment to diagnose these problems. But, the only way to rule out all wheel-related vibration is with the Hunter GSP9700 Vibration Control System.
